Growing up in the 1970’s and 80’s as a gay teenager opened my mind to the diversity in this beautiful and cruel world. Challenging me not only to deeply soul search the meaning of my life but also become the ideal adult role-model that was not there for me as a gay teenager.
This personal awakening made me aware of the thirst I had for a better life; a life without having the feeling that I was not good enough because I had the orientation of a gay man, a life where I was cherished for the loving and caring capacity I possessed, that I could use to make the world a better place.
I was not willing to let the world shape me into the bitter misconceptions and negative stereotypes that were made up illusions from societal fears and political and religious dogma. This is what molded my career in the non-profit world of Social
Services and now my holistic health endeavors.
